Corrections
If something in an explainer is wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us. Please include the link to the explainer and the sentence in question, plus a source if you have one. We check every report against our own research. When we confirm an error, we fix it and add a dated note at the bottom of the explainer. Our editorial standards explain how corrections work.
News tips and story requests
If there’s a trending story you’d like explained, send the topic and where you saw it trending. We can’t promise to cover everything, and we don’t cover rumors, gossip about private people or anything we can’t verify with several independent sources.
Privacy requests
To ask what we hold about you or to have it removed, write to us using the address below and see our privacy policy for the details. Uptick has no accounts, so there is usually very little to find.
Business, licensing and press
For anything else, including permission to reuse our original artwork or text, use the same address. We don’t sell coverage, and no advertiser or company can pay for or approve an explainer.
